The Traklpark Oak
The register still files this oak under a guesthouse. Its entry reads "beim Gasthof Dollinger", by the Dollinger inn, while the tree itself stands in the Traklpark, a small public park on the Inn beside the Mühlau fire station. It is a pedunculate oak, about 20 metres tall, with a trunk almost a metre across at the time of the survey. Worked out as a circle, that is roughly three metres round, an estimate rather than a measurement, and the survey gives no date for it. It was protected in 1940, the same year as the very old oak on the Schulgasse in Hötting, and has held that status ever since. Innsbruck has lost protected trees in the decades between; this one is still on the list. Nobody has published its age, and the register dates the protection, not the planting. If you know when it went in, tell us. The register's point and the one in Wikipedia's list of natural monuments sit about 20 metres apart, so treat our pin as approximate. In a park this small it hardly matters: walk to the riverside park beside the fire station, opposite Haller Strasse 5, and look for the big oak. It is on the north bank, about one and a half kilometres from the old town across the Inn, and free to visit.

The line is our estimate of how much there is to see, not a measurement. Typical for this species where this tree stands; exact weeks shift with the year.
Haller Strasse 5, opposite, in the Traklpark, Muehlau/InnsbruckYou can recognise it as the big oak of the Traklpark, about 20 metres tall with a trunk almost a metre across. It stands in the small riverside park beside the Mühlau fire station, opposite Haller Strasse 5.
Free: in a small public park on the Inn beside the fire station.
North of the Inn near the Innpromenade; about 2 km straight line from Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, 1.5 km from the old town across the river.
