How do I find it? You can recognise it by a trunk between 3.75 and 4.15 metres round, one of three protected trunks close enough to see in one view. It stands in section 178n of the Rudak forest, Brzoza.

This oak became a legal nature monument on the same day and in the same document as the two limes standing fifteen metres away. The Wielka Nieszawka council protected all three in resolution XLIII/207/2014 of 7 October 2014, gazetted at the end of that month, on a single forest plot in section 178n of the Rudak forestry district, about ten kilometres north of Toruń. Its waistline depends on who did the measuring. The state forest district's own conservation page, quoting the council resolution, gives 375 centimetres. Wikidata gives 415, and adds a height of 26 metres. The two agree on species, place and designation date, so read the trunk as somewhere in that range rather than as either figure exactly. Nobody has dated it. Polish nature-monument registers rarely carry an age, and girth on its own is a thin basis for ageing an oak when no source has done the calculation. If you know how old this one is, tell us. The setting is working state forest rather than a park: Lasy Panstwowe ground, open to walk on under Poland's general right of access, with no gate and no ticket. That is much of the appeal. Nothing here has been laid out to show the trees off, and the three trunks stand close enough together that the whole protected group fits in one view once you have found the turning.
