This plane's girth runs to 4.42 metres at chest height and 5.02 at the base, wider than the more famous plane this site already lists on the Macarena wall, though shorter at 25 metres than that one's 27. Seville's 2022 survey found it structurally and physiologically normal, with no disease, but flagged two biological agents living on it: Kalotermes flavicollis, a drywood termite that colonises dead and weakened wood inside an otherwise healthy trunk, and Synanthedon codeti, a clearwing moth whose larvae bore into plane bark. Neither pushed its overall condition below good. It stands at the Glorieta de Juanita Reina, one of the many named circular clearings that structure Parque de María Luisa, a garden the city built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition out of what had been the private grounds of the Palacio de San Telmo. The plane itself is a hybrid nobody set out to make, crossed from an Oriental and an American species in a seventeenth century European garden and then planted everywhere for how well it tolerates exactly the conditions a public park subjects it to. The coordinate here is the catalogue's own, unverified against an independent source.

The pin marks the right spot roughly, not the tree itself. It stands here, but we have not confirmed the precise position on the ground yet. Know exactly where it is?
