Wat is de oudste boom van Priekulė?

All five of Priekulė's mapped trees were designated botanical natural heritage objects by a single Lithuanian Environment Ministry order on 16 April 2018, five separate finds identified around the town the year before. Three stand in or near Vingis Park: two oaks (one beside the park's main path, one off-path in a cleared patch, both over five metres round) and a copper beech in the garden of the Ieva Simonaitytė Memorial Museum, the summer house of the Lithuanian writer, now a public institution. A kilometre away, Kliošų parkas, a former manor landscape park that has grown wild into ordinary-looking forest, holds two more: a beech recorded by a local heritage trail as among the largest of its kind in Lithuania, and a European silver fir (kėnis) with a slightly disputed height measurement, standing close to a path that continues to a small forest cemetery and a footbridge across to the next village. None of the five carries a documented age. Species on two of the oaks is recorded only as generic 'ąžuolas' in the source register; Quercus robur, the native pedunculate oak, is presumed rather than confirmed.
