Ancient Trees maps remarkable old trees and the walks that string them together. If something here is wrong, or you cannot get something to work, this page is where to start.

A tree is wrong, gone, or in the wrong place

Tell us and we fix it, usually the same day. A pin in the wrong spot is the one mistake we treat as urgent, because you are already standing somewhere the tree is not. Use the report control on the tree's own page, or send a correction.

A tree we are missing

You can add a tree by taking a photograph of it and filling in what you know, either in the app or through the form. Every submission is verified against two independent sources before it goes on the map.

Somebody's name or picture in the app

In the app, the three dots beside a person let you report them or block them. A report reaches us and we act on it; a block hides them from you straight away, and they reappear only in your own search for them, with an Unblock button, so you can always lift it. There is no tolerance here for offensive, abusive or impersonating profiles.

Your account

Signing in takes an email address and nothing else. Your collection follows the account, so it survives a new phone. You can delete the account from Settings at any time, and deleting it removes your address, your collection, your name and your picture. Nothing is kept back.

Say what you were doing and what happened, with your phone and iOS version if you have them to hand. Use Settings, Send feedback in the app, or write to us below.
