Tree Walks in Krakow
Krakow has 3 walks that string its ancient trees together on foot, from 0.54 km to 2.9 km, past 21 trees in all. Each one is an afternoon rather than a hike, and every tree on it has a story worth the stop.
The order is ours, worked out from where the trees actually stand; the walking distance is the real one along streets and paths where we have been able to route it, and a straight line between trunks where we have not. Nothing here is a signposted trail.
Stare Miasto south
9 trees · about 2.65 km · 35 min on foot
Begins at The Filharmonia Plane (London Plane (Platanus x acerifolia)) and ends at The Powroznicza Honey Locust.
Stare Miasto north
8 trees · about 2.9 km · 36 min on foot
Begins at The Sw. Jana Tree of Heaven (Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima)) and ends at The Sikorskiego Square Oak.
Podgorze
