Vainiaiで最も古い樹木はどれですか。

The Vainiai Poplar, standing in the overgrown remains of the former Vainiai manor park, with a girth of 6.85 metres and a height of 35.5 metres, one of the largest white poplars recorded in Lithuania. Two oaks near the Nevezis river, the Galiunas Oak and the Nevezio Dvilypis Oak, are also mapped here, 26 to 28 kilometres from the poplar and 4.4 kilometres from each other.

The Vainiai Poplar was first declared a nature monument in 1960 and re-confirmed as a state-protected natural landscape object in 1999. The manor park it once stood in as an ornamental planting has since gone wild; the buildings are gone, and what remains reads as overgrown parkland rather than a maintained estate. No source found describes when the tree was planted, and white poplar growth rates vary too widely by site to derive an honest estimate from its girth alone, so the age is left open here. If you know it, tell us. A dedicated footpath leads to the tree from the nearby road, visible in photographs of the site, suggesting genuine, informal public access rather than a fenced or posted-private site. Populus alba is native to Lithuania's floodplains and old parkland, and specimens of this size are rare; at 6.85 metres round, this is among the largest examples the country's records hold.
