Tree Walks in Copenhagen

Copenhagen has 2 walks that string its ancient trees together on foot, from 0.62 km to 0.98 km, past 8 trees in all. Each one is an afternoon rather than a hike, and every tree on it has a story worth the stop.

The order is ours, worked out from where the trees actually stand; the walking distance is the real one along streets and paths where we have been able to route it, and a straight line between trunks where we have not. Nothing here is a signposted trail.

Nørrebro

5 trees · about 0.62 km · 7 min on foot

Begins at The Weeping Beech of Assistens (Weeping Beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula')) and ends at The Sky-Reacher of Assistens.

Frederiksberg

3 trees · about 0.98 km · 12 min on foot

Begins at The Beech by the Boat Trip (European Beech (Fagus sylvatica)) and ends at The Pedunculate Oak of Frederiksberg Have.

All of these stand in Copenhagen, where we map 16 remarkable trees in total. Or walk somewhere else: Alicante · Alkmaar · Amersfoort · Amsterdam · Arnhem · Assen
