The oldest tree in Roosendaal is the Horse Chestnut of De Kring, which the national tree register bands to a planting around 1840, roughly 190 years old. It stands on De Kring square beside a rare Oriental plane the register also lists.
Ages here come from the Landelijk Register Monumentale Bomen, which records a planting decade rather than a year, so every figure on this page is a band. The register is the single source throughout, so every entry ships flagged rather than confirmed. Three spots carry two trees each: De Kring square holds the Oriental plane and the horse chestnut, Burgerhoutsestraat holds a catalpa and a London plane at opposite corners of the same building, and Emile van Loonpark holds a horse chestnut behind the pond. The park's own lime, which the register originally listed alongside that chestnut, was declared dead back in 1998 and does not appear on this page, since a tree known to be gone never ships as a collectible entry here. A beech behind Restaurant Vrouwenhof and a fast-growing Canadian poplar on the Bloemenmarkt car park round out the list. Where a pin is marked approximate, we know the site and not the exact trunk.
